Reflections

I’ve attempted to capture reflections of birds, although at times it became apparent only after looking at the picture, which makes it all the more interesting.

A Tricolored Heron with a poised look

A proud Mallard with its impressive brood

A Great Blue Heron with its prized catch

How many birds do you see in this picture above?  There is a Bluejay on the right feeder and a Blackbird on the shepherd’s hook with their respective reflections captured on the glass window behind!

White Ibis fishing in the placid waters

A Black Necked Stilt named so for its long legs.

  1. Great pictures. I could not see the reflection of the birds, but just the fact that four different birds were sitting at the same time and you captured it makes it a great pic. Are these pictures from our surroundings, like the celery bog? Again, great pics.

  2. I love the picture of two birds with their reflections.
It took me a while to figure it out though!
Thanks for sharing your pictures, Subra

  3. Hello Subra..
Now i see why you hang around in the Celery bog a lot. Absolutely fantastic. Why not have a small show at Purdue or in town with 10-15 of these mounted……and call them “Sights in Lafayette”.
